Brazilian archaeologists found fossil skeletons of a new extinct crocodile species makes 90 million years, in a discovery that ratifies the existence of the old supercontinente of Gondwana. The denominmado Baurusuchus salgadoensis was found in the deposit of fossils of General Salgado, in the state of Sao Paulo.
The discovery ratified that of other fossil remains on the union of America of the South, Africa and Asia, in the supercontinent Gondwana, until approximately that period. The Baurusuchus salgadoensis, a carnivore, had 3 meters long and it weighed about 400 kilos.
Fossils of the same family were found in Argentina and Pakistan, what allows to ratify the existence of Gondwana. The place in that were the fossils, to 450 kilometers of the city of Sao Paulo, it was discovered by the professor Joao Tadeu Arruda.
